Title 1, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Currently Title 1 funding is provided to Edgewood Elementary and Navin Elementary.
If your child receives reading intervention from a Title 1 funded reading specialist, you will receive a School/Parent Compact so the school and parent/guardian can work together in order to improve your child's skills and confidence in reading.
