TWO APPOINTMENTS: VOLUNTARY AND REQUIRED

After Step 5, your child’s elementary school secretary will reach out to you in order to schedule two appointments and welcome you to their school family.

Appointment #1:  Mini Monarch Day

This is a voluntary appointment that takes approximately 30 minutes and will occur at some point in May.  During this appointment, your child will be assessed on various academic skills.  While your child works with our team members, you will learn about some free materials you will be provided in order to help your child prepare for Kindergarten.  You will receive a copy of your child's assessment results which will help you focus on particular skills over the summer.

Appointment #2:  Kindergarten Readiness Appointment

This is a required appointment which will take place in August during one of the first three days of school.  During this appointment, teachers will be working with your child in order to welcome your child to the building as well as collecting important academic information which will assist your child’s teachers with making intentional instructional decisions for your child.
