  •  Attention Students earning college credit thru Clark State:Those students who are enrolled in a first semester class or Dr. Koukis' Classical Foundation or Frame by Frame Clark State course that still need to take the Compass Test need to see Mrs. Burns ASAP to schedule a testing time after school or during their study hall.  All testing is due ASAP or you will not be registered for college credit via Clark State.
  • Are you interested in some female bonding this fall? Auditions for the fall play Steel Magnolias are Tuesday, September 8th from 3-5 pm in the MHS auditorium. All interested female performers should prepare a monologue for auditions. See Ms. Everitt or Mrs. Hinderer for questions.

 

  • NHS seniors who are interested in becoming officers need to pick up applications in A123.

Seniors interested in becoming NHS members need to pick up activity forms in room A123.

Dates are posted- don't delay.

 

  • Come help recycle with Pro Terra Nova on Tuesday.  It's a great way to earn volunteer or community service hours.  We meet right after school in B142.  Let's make a difference.

 

  • Hey Monarchs! Mark your calendars for Homecoming week! Homecoming week starts on September 14th, and ends with the Homecoming dance on September 19th from 8-11. Entry for the Homecoming dance will be $10 per person at the door. This years Homecoming theme is Beach Party. Seniors will be Surfing in the USA. Juniors will be Tiki/Luau Party. Sophomores will be Under the Sea, and Freshmen will be Shipwrecked. Stay tuned for more details!

 

  • Juniors interested in decorating, riding, or even just brainstorming ideas for the junior class float should meet in Mrs. Bise’s room A110 after school tomorrow, Tuesday (Sept. 1)

 

  • Attention Leo Club Members and those wanting to join Leo Club:  The first start up meeting is Tuesday September 1st right after school in the Monarch Commons.  Come and check it out! See Mrs. White in room C112 with questions.

 

  • Attention any student that may be interested in creating and publishing short stories, essays, poems, or original artwork, the first meeting of the revived MHS literary journal, Catseye, will be after school at 2:45 on Thursday, September 3rd in Dr. Koukis' Room A123

 

  • Attention Track and Field athletes: There will be a fall conditioning meeting on Thursday September 3rd after school in Coach Sundermeier's room (D257). This is for non fall sports athletes. Stop by to pick up a packet if you cannot attend the meeting

 

  • See your English teacher for a Vibe subscription form.

 

  • Attention students earning college credit in their classes thru Urbana University. Applications are now available from your classroom teachers. Once completed, they are due back to your classroom teacher on or before September 2. See the Guidance Department or Mrs. Burns if you have any questions.
