Attention Seniors! Cedar Point tickets are on sale during your lunch periods. Tickets will be sold in the school store. The last day to buy your ticket is Friday, April 25th. The cost for tickets is $60.00 to cover your ticket and bus ride. You must have your student fees paid before you can purchase a ticket.

Get those blue shirts out! The Blue4Burke benefit concert is coming! As most of you are aware, a fellow monarch football player, sophomore Devon Burke, is battling a rare form of bone cancer which places an enormous financial burden on his family. Local up and coming country music star Ryan Guisginger is taking stage in MHS auditorium to help raise funds on Saturday April 19th from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Get your $10 pre-sale tickets during lunch starting Wed. April 9th.

Attention Juniors interest in becoming members of National Honor Society. Applications are available this week in A123 and the Guidance Office. Signs with due dates are outside your English classes.

What are you doing next spring break? Sign up and go to Paris. The spring break tours are open to ALL students and there are no class pre-requisites.

All Seniors – there will be a class meeting today during third period. Please report to your third period class and we will dismiss by PA to report to the Auditorium. We will be discussing various items in regards to Graduation, Important Dates, Fees and Upcoming Events.

Attention Seniors: If you do NOT want to be considered as a candidate for Prom Court 2014, please see Mrs. LaRoche in the guidance office no later than the end of the day Friday to have your name removed from the list.

Attention all wrestlers please meet Coach Andrews afterschool, outside the wrestling room to pick up spring and summer wrestling information.

Congratulations to the following HOSA/Health Tech students who were winners in the recent state competition held at Tolles Career Center.

Connor Coutts, senior – placed 2nd in the state in epidemiology. Morgan Berry, junior – placed 3rd in the state in personal care. Shelby Ramey, junior – placed in the top 5 in the state in personal care. Margie Burkhammer, junior – elected as state historian. Allison Clark, junior – elected as state president. These students will be attending the national HOSA conference the end of June at Disney World Resort!! Great job by all students who competed!!! Look Mickey and Donald…here we come!!!

Attention 9th and 10th graders interested in the outdoor careers program at Hi-Point. There will be a special exploration day on April 25th at Hi-Point to see the outdoor careers facility and talk with staff. Space is limited so please see your guidance counselor if interested.

Seniors – posted on the Guidance Office window are two lists for academic honors: The President’s Education Award and the Honors Diploma List.

Please check these lists for your name. If your name is not on the list and you believe you meet the criteria, please see your counselor by this Wednesday, April 16th.

Otterbein University and the Girl Scouts are offering a “Go Lead Academy” to girls in grades 9 – 11. This is a 5 day academy running June 22nd – 26th at Otterbein University. Participants from across the state of Ohio will experience a program designed to introduce issues that affect our world and help an elite group of young ladies develop advocacy skills and learn how to effect social change. If you are interested in learning more about the program, please pick up an informational flyer and application in the Guidance Office.
