Today, Friday, December 8th, at approximately 1:20pm, a Marysville Exempted Village School District bus was involved in an accident on Interstate 71S just south of the route 30 exit.  The bus was returning from a field trip to the Mansfield Correctional Facility. There were 43 students, 2 staff, and 1 bus driver involved.  Currently, 8 students and the bus driver have been transported to a local Mansfield Hospital.  However, other students are being examined by EMT staff for potential injuries.  All reported injuries are not life threatening.  Phone calls have been made to families involved in the accident.

The accident was caused by a semi truck striking the bus in the rear.  The damage to the bus prevented further transportation.

Marysville Exempted Village School District transportation will be bringing students back to Marysville High School.
