Special Education

We are honored that you have chosen us to educate your child.  We are committed to serving all students, including students with disabilities.  We strive to be compliant in every aspect of local, state, and federal law and to adhere to The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).  Programs are provided to support students with learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, multiple disabilities, hearing and visual impairments, developmental disabilities, other health impairments, autism, traumatic brain injuries, and speech and language impairments.

Our goal is to provide an appropriate education for all students by allowing them to have access to the general education curriculum.  Inclusion of students with disabilities in general education classes is our priority.  Our district understands that general education classrooms provide students with disabilities stimulation and modeling for learning as well as opportunities to learn positive social and vocational skills while building self-esteem.
