This esteemed recognition highlights the district's unwavering commitment to supporting military-connected students and families within the Marysville community.

To qualify for the Purple Star Award, each school in Marysville Schools has met the following requirements:
Appointed a staff liaison for military students and families.
Ensured the liaison completed professional development on military-related considerations.
Informed teachers about military-connected students and their unique needs.
Created a dedicated webpage for military family resources.
With the Purple Star School recognition, each school receives a special Purple Star to display on site, showcasing their commitment to military-connected students and families.
Superintendent Allen added, "The Purple Star Award not only acknowledges our district's continuous efforts to support military-connected students and families but also reminds us of our responsibility to provide them with the resources and care they deserve. We remain committed to helping them succeed academically and socially within our schools and community."
