Superintendent

Dr. Zack Howard is a proud native of Marysville, having graduated from Marysville High School in 1995. After leaving his hometown, he pursued a degree in secondary education with a focus on Biology while playing college football at Muskingum University. Dr. Howard began his career as a Biology Teacher and Football Coach at Pickerington High School before moving into various administrative roles within the Pickerington Local School District, including High School Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, Pickerington High School Central Principal, Human Resources Director, and Assistant Superintendent.

In 2019, Dr. Howard earned his Doctorate in Education from Concordia University and went on to serve as the Superintendent for Mount Gilead Exempted Village Schools for four years. Now, he is thrilled to return to his roots and serve as the Superintendent for the Marysville Exempted Village Schools. With 25 years of experience in public education, Dr. Howard is committed to working with the staff, students, families, local businesses, and all stakeholders to provide the best education and experiences for our Monarchs. 

He and his wife- Elizabeth are looking forward to the upcoming 2025-2026 school year and the opportunities it will bring to build relationships within the school community and beyond and continue the tradition of excellence in Marysville.
