Welcome to Marysville Schools, where we are Proud To Be a Monarch #PTBM. Our enrollment process can be completed all online. If you are in need of in-person assistance, please see the appointment information below for further details.

If your child is a current student in Marysville Schools, you do not have to re-enroll each summer; you will need to complete required Back To School Forms annually via your PowerSchool Parent Portal which become available in late July or early August each school year.

*Please note that the Enrollment Department experiences a higher volume of enrollments during the month of August, therefore, response times may be longer. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

2025-2026 Enrollment Steps

Starting Monday, February 3, 2025, at approximately 9:00 AM, the button/link below will be active, and you will be able to start the enrollment process for your child.

Complete the required online forms via your Parent PowerSchool account; once logged in, please click on "Forms" and then complete the "Enrollment" tab forms; visual guides are provided below in the Helpful Hints section.

You will also need the following documents ready to upload into the system:

Student birth certificate
Parent / Guardian ID
Proof of Residence (See Proof of Residence below for assistance)
Immunization/Shot records - must be up to date (see Immunization Requirements below for assistance)

If you have any of the following, you will need to email the documents to the Enrollment Department at enrollment@mevsd.us .

Custody documentation (complete, signed & court stamped document)
IEP/ETR (special education documents)

*Providing incomplete or incorrect information will delay the enrollment process.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Your student will be officially enrolled once you receive an email from the Enrollment Department stating the enrollment process is complete.

Alt. K and Kindergarten Only: Once your child is officially enrolled and you receive an email stating such from the Enrollment Department, your child's elementary building will contact you in order to schedule your child's required Kindergarten Readiness appointment which will take place on August 18, 19 or 20, 2025.

Homeless Youth

The Board of Education believes that all school-aged students, including homeless students, have a basic right to admission in the District schools and equal educational opportunities. Accordingly, the District must enroll each homeless student in the District in the school determined to be in the student’s best interest. A homeless student or individual is defined as an individual who lacks fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence and who has a primary nighttime residence that is:

a supervised, publicly or privately operated shelter designed to provide temporary living accommodations (including welfare hotels, congregate shelters and transitional housing for the mentally ill);
an institution that provides a temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized;
a public or private place not designed for or ordinarily used as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings;
a motel, car, campground or
a "doubling up" with another family because of inability to afford housing otherwise.

In compliance with the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, the District must make school placement determinations on the basis of the best interest of the student. To the extent feasible, homeless students are kept in the school of origin unless doing so is contrary to the wishes of the student's parent or guardian.

The Board ensures that:

it reviews and revises Board policies and regulations to eliminate barriers to the enrollment, retention and success in school of homeless students;
the District does not segregate homeless students into separate schools or separate programs within a school based on the student's status as homeless;
it appoints a District liaison who ensures that homeless students enroll and succeed in school and
homeless students are provided with transportation services that are at least comparable to the service provided to non-homeless students.

To the extent feasible, the District complies with the request made by a parent(s) regarding school placement regardless of whether the student lives with the homeless parent(s) or is temporarily residing elsewhere.

A student who ceases to be homeless may continue to receive services until the end of the period of time for which the service was originally intended to be provided, which may be the end of the school year or the end of a program cycle.

The District complies with the Ohio Department of Education’s Plan and State and Federal laws for the education of homeless children and youth.

Home Schooling

Marysville Schools is pleased to partner with district residents who are committed to providing their children with learning opportunities through Home Schooling. Below is helpful information in regards to the Home Schooling process.

ANNUAL NOTIFICATION

Ohio law requires a home-educating parent/guardian to submit an annual notification to home school their child(ren) to the Superintendent of the school district in which they reside. Once the annual notification is submitted to the district, the Superintendent or his/her designee are required to review the notification and respond to the parent/guardian in writing.

The written response from the district will take one of two forms: 1. An excusal letter signed by the Superintendent that excuses the student(s) to home education. 2. A letter requesting information that was not provided with the original notification letter.

Appointment Information

If you are unable to complete the entire enrollment process online, we are happy to help you with an in-person scheduled appointment. Please call 937-578-6145 or email enrollment@mevsd.us in order to schedule your in-person appointment.

The following in-person procedures will be implemented in order to promote an efficient and effective experience. Thank you for your understanding.

Prefer that only the parent/guardian attend the appointment so the enrollment process can be efficiently completed

If a parent/guardian has a temperature of 100.4 or higher or does not feel well, please reschedule or follow other instructions communicated by the Enrollment Department in order to complete the enrollment process.

If you are more than 10 minutes late or do not have all of the documents listed above, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.

#2 - If you need copies made of your documents, please contact the Enrollment Department, by phone at 937-578-6145 or via email at enrollment@mevsd.us

#3 - If needed, you can drop off copies of your documents at the Central Office located at 212 Chestnut St. There is a brown dropbox located at entrance A where you can drop the paperwork. If you need copies made you will need to ring the doorbell at entrance A.

Proof of Residence must be one of the following in the custodial parent’s name:

If you are living with another family and none of the below bills are in the custodial parent's name, you will need to complete a Residency Affidavit
Lease or rental agreement signed by the custodial parent and the landlord
Mortgage statement in the custodial parent's name
Signed purchase agreement or ALTA settlement statement for a new home in the custodial parent's name
Current gas, electric, or water bill that is in the custodial parent’s name
