Dear Raymond Families:
Please review the following information regarding plans for calamity days that we may experience this school year. Pay close attention to Calamity Days 4-6 that would require us to move to asynchronous learning. The following chart helps with understanding the plan. Your child’s teacher has put together choice boards for these days and the boards will be posted on our Raymond web page as well as being shared with families by classroom teachers.

If we close school for the 4th time, our teachers will reach out by 10:30 AM with directions for completing the Choice Board Learning Activities for their grade level. We would ask that your child complete work within a week’s time. Our teachers will be available via email during the day for questions. They will also be available via Zoom at the times listed below. The Zoom sessions are completely optional and are being provided as a service in case students have questions or need support for the remote work. Your child will not be penalized for not attending these optional Zoom sessions.
We understand this can be confusing, but we will communicate from the district level, building level. as well as the classroom level in order for you to have the information you need to support your child. We hope we will not have to close school for any reason, but we want to be prepared just in case. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the assignments, etc..
We appreciate your partnership with us!
