I am Julie Arnold and am one half of Raymond’s first grade team. I have been teaching at Raymond Elementary for twenty years. Most of those years have been in first grade, but I taught kindergarten and was the reading specialist for a few years as well. Prior to my years at Raymond, I taught for the Union County Adult Literacy/GED program and also spent a year in Florida teaching sixth grade math and science. I have lived in a few different states, but have spent most of my life in Marysville. My husband and I are both Marysville High School graduates. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary/Primary Education from Miami University. We have two children. Our daughter is a 2018 graduate of Marysville Early College High School and a freshman at Bowling Green State University. Our son is a junior at MECHS. We also have two dogs and a cat. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my son play baseball, shopping with my daughter, watching movies, reading, listening to music, and walking. The wonderful children and their families as well as my fellow teachers/staff keep me coming back to Raymond. I am excited for another fantastic year!
Hello! My name is Brittney Cramer. I graduated from The University of Akron in 2013 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and received a Reading Endorsement from Walsh University the following year. Since then, I moved from northeast Ohio to the Columbus area and taught second grade. Fortunately for me, both the move and teaching experience led me to Marysville!
This year will be my sixth year of teaching, three of which have been in first grade at Raymond. First grade has brought me so much joy, as I love seeing the tremendous amount of growth that occurs and interacting with the incredible students and families; they truly make Raymond feel like home!
I do live outside of Marysville, so it is always so nice to be here. With not having any children or pets, I do spend quite a bit of time with my family and friends traveling, going to country concerts, being outside, playing volleyball and other games, and crafting. I am looking forward to another fantastic year in first grade!
