Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year - for children who will be five years of age by September 30, 2013 - will begin in February.

Registration will be held in each of the district's five elementary buildings and will provide families direct access to, and communication with, their child's residential school.

During registration, parents/guardians will be asked to submit required paperwork and building secretaries will provide important information and resources to help students and families prepare for kindergarten. While incoming kindergarteners are welcome to accompany parents/guardians to registration appointments, they are not required to do so as kindergarten assessments will not take place until the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Please contact your residential school to schedule your required appointment as soon as possible. This is especially important should you be interested in the tuition-based All-Day, Every Day Program as the date and time of your call or e-mail to schedule your appointment is used to determine the order your child's name is placed on the enrollment list.

The district will continue to offer its two kindergarten program options: the All-Day, Alternating Day Program and the tuition-based All-Day, Every Day Program. Details for both options are listed below.

1. All-Day, Alternating Day Program

Red Team - attends Mondays, Thursdays and Alternating Wednesdays
Blue Team - attends Tuesdays, Fridays and Alternating Wednesdays
available in all elementary buildings

2. All-Day, Every Day Program (ADED)

tuition-based
the date and time a call or e-mail is received to schedule an appointment determine the order students are placed on the enrollment list
option will be available in buildings where ADED enrollment can fill a class of 22-25 students
should a building not meet the enrollment needed, students can still attend the All-Day, Every Day Program, but will be placed in a building where the option and space are available
