Bunsold BASE and Bikes Collaboration Moving Gears Bike Shop, a club at the BASE Afterschool program at Bunsold Middle School, has new community partners! The Bicycle Renewal Program pairs the afterschool club with the Marysville Police Department and the Union County Health Department’s Safe Routes to School Committee. This partnership allows Moving Gears to take possession of police impounded bicycles, repair them, then donate them to individuals in need. Moving Gears is a volunteer club composed of 7th and 8th graders at Bunsold Middle School. These students are part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant-funded middle school program, a grant that provides academic intervention, encourages parent engagement and offers exciting STEM focused youth development activities . Moving Gears meets every Wednesday from 4:30PM to 6:00PM at Bunsold Middle School.
