**Although enrollment varies, there are approximately 410 students at Navin.

5. What method/approach is used to teach reading?
**The Marysville School District follows the Literacy Collaborative Framework for teaching reading, writing and language arts. We do small group reading instruction (Workshop model) to enable us to meet and grow each child at their personal reading level. We utilize the Lucy Calkins Writing Program as a complimenting curriculum. We also utilize the online program iREADY as a piece of instruction to further meet students where they are and provide both support and challenges to help them grow.
6. Which math program is used at Navin?
**Marysville Schools recently adopted a new math series, "Envisions" for grades K-6. This is only one tool used to maximize mathematical instruction. Navin compliments the math instriction by utilizing "math workshop" model (small group, personalized instruction), Number Talks, rich math tasks and iREADY (math) to enrich, engage and challenge students.
7. What is "Unified Arts"?
**Unified Arts refers to instruction in Music, Physical Education, Art , Library and Computer Lab.
8. Does Navin have a PTA/PTO?
